How you can benefit from our coaching sessions?

1) In our 55-minute weekly calls, I’ll be your coach, sounding board and guide to check in with yourself and dive into everything from the good to the bad and anything in between.

2) We’ll create a judgement-free zone. Whether you’re an introvert or extrovert, I bet this year you’ve felt moments of uncertainty and isolation. I want to be a person you can count on, connect with and know you’re being heard. You can be totally you. I think we all need that level of freedom right now.

3) You’ll learn my nature-centered Pause with Plants method (PWP) to grow and strengthen your mental toughness and positive response to stress. We can work through any unwanted feelings about things you can’t control and create actionable steps for you to collect mental, physical and emotional “wins” each week.

4) “What day is it?” Maybe you’ve asked yourself this in 2020. I know I have. Time and days of the week can snowball until every day feels like Groundhog Day (Hey Bill Murray). In our sessions we’ll work to lessen this effect by elevating how you actively engage with each day.

Why work with me?

Talking to me can feel like a conversation with a close friend. I’ll be your positive supporter and personal cheerleader.

My background: I offer 9 years of coaching experience and integrate research and training from my MSc in Applied Psychology and NYU Organizational and Executive Coaching Certification into my method. As a former athlete and sports coach, I also bring experience in mindset training, mind/body awareness and visualization to each coaching engagement.

How I coach: I believe that central to the success of personal coaching is a mixture of accountability and support. When you have both, it can lead to getting and sustaining the life we want to live. I believe that we all can benefit from coaching and have worked with young kids and adults alike.

Coaching

vs Therapy

Coaching is not therapy but it carries a lot of the same elements. Coaching focuses more on your present and future and offers positive support, coping skills and helpful guidance.

If you have been considering starting therapy or finding a new therapist, I think you should consider coaching. With a B.A. and Master’s degrees in Psychology, I bring a parallel understanding of human cognition, behavior and clinical practices.

What to expect in coaching sessions? We’ll begin with…

  • Deep cleansing intentional breaths to release stress and strengthen your mental toughness using the nature-centered PWP Method.

Next we will…

  • Focus on creating small actionable, sustainable and attainable weekly “wins” to stay positive and purposeful.

  • Dive into what is happening for you. The good, the bad and the question marks.

  • Celebrate the good things with intention and plan out how you can get more of them.

  • Break down any bad things to see what is really happening. We’ll determine what parts you have control over and empower you to let go of what you can’t.

  • Look at any current question marks and create sustainable steps to better understand those things.

We’ll continue with…

  • Experience a whole body scan of where you are mentally, physically and emotionally and consider where you want to be. We’ll create small steps for you to do by our next session and create an actionable path.

  • Dish out anything else that is on your mind and things that seem to be ragging on you or holding you back. We’ll acknowledge their presence, and most importantly work together to better understand how they trigger you and devise a plan to work past them.

Your custom Pause with Plants Moment for the week:

  • To help manage stress, we’ll create one new unique nature-centered activity that you will practice in the coming week. This agreed upon Pause with Plants Moment will be your way to breathe in nature and breathe out stress.

  • We’ll finish our session by practicing a few more nature-centered deep cleansing breaths to keep you centered and positive.
