PAUSE WITH PLANTS MUSIC

Together with my musician brother, Trevor Gowan, we developed a few sound tracks that come together as the Pause with Plants EP. We’re thrilled to offer another avenue for you to mindfully connect with nature. Our EP is now available for download and streaming on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, Google Play and wherever else you listen to music.

The Pause with Plants EP features three tracks, all with the focus of connecting with nature and celebrating the beautiful and melodic sounds that nature and city life create together. Whether you live in New York, another city or simply appreciate how the natural world collides with urban landscapes, these songs invite you to bring your mind to the present moment and fully engage with the sounds and feelings of an urban jungle. We hope our music helps you to breathe in nature and breathe out stress, while also feeling close and connected to the natural world.

Track 1 Urban Jungle shares sounds of the city captured in Washington Square Park in late morning, when the birds and car horns joined in a beautiful natural tango. This piece is truly an ode to nature in the city and invites us to slow down and hear how these different but connected worlds collide. Urban Jungle encourages us to breathe in both energy and calm. Original music by Trevor and a light guided meditative touch by me.

Track 2 Central Park shares sounds captured in Central Park at the stunning Conservancy Garden. This song brings together sounds of berries falling from the trees into a pond of lily pad and noises of people chatting and birds singing. We think this piece highlights the love story of nature and the city. Original music by Trevor and a light guided meditative touch by me.

Track 3 Little W. 12th shares an energetic beat intertwined with subtle bird calls. This combination makes me think of the Meatpacking intersection of Washington Street and Little W. 12th. From working at The Standard Hotel to nights out and living in the West Village, I’ve spent the majority of her 10+ years in the city on this street. Besides the energy of this area, Little W. 12th Street sits below The High Line, an elevated park by the Hudson River. I particularly enjoyed sitting on a park bench with views of Little W. 12th below. This spot is precious to me and the music feels like its musical match.

Thank you again for being part of the #PauseWithPlants community. Together we will connect to the natural world and Breathe in Nature and Breathe out Stress.
